Current activity
No active tsunami warnings, advisories, watches or threat messages in the current feed
As of the last check, 2026-10-01 13:48 UTC. This covers only the two NOAA product feeds listed under “Sources and coverage” below — it says nothing about other countries' warning services. The most recent official message was “Tsunami Information” (INFORMATION), issued 2026-09-29 21:09 UTC.
NatureBlogger is an informational tracker, not an alert service. If you are in a potentially affected area, follow your local emergency-management and tsunami-warning authorities.
Latest official tsunami messages
Newest first, with the class exactly as the warning centre labelled it. An information statement does not mean a tsunami occurred — most say there is no tsunami threat.

Sources and coverage
- Official messages come from the public product feeds on tsunami.gov published by NOAA's National Tsunami Warning Center (NTWC) and Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC). They are not a global feed and do not include other countries' national warning services. We check them about every 30 minutes and publish an update when something changes, so this page can lag the live bulletins — always use tsunami.gov or your local authority for real-time information.
- Observed tsunamis are a reviewed catalogue from NOAA NCEI. A message is not an observation: a tsunami information statement does not prove a tsunami occurred.
- USGS tsunami flag on the earthquakes page marks large earthquakes in oceanic regions. It does not mean a tsunami occurred or that a warning was issued, and we do not match earthquakes to messages by location or time.
